Nestled on the fringe of the vast Thar Desert in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, our resort lies adjacent to the famed Tal Chhapar grasslands and the wildlife sanctuary which gives its name to the region. The neighbouring Tal Chhapar Sanctary is a flat, saline depression (“tal”), with wide-open savannah-style grasslands dotted by acacia and prosopis trees — a distinctive ecosystem amidst the arid terrain.
This unique landscape is home to herds of elegant blackbucks, and serves as a vital waypoint for migratory birds, especially during the winter months.
